The Minisink Valley Public Library Initiative aims to gain equal access for all residents (23,035) living within the Minisink Valley Central School District.

Minisink Valley spans 115 square miles and the Minisink Valley Central School District supports five school library collections staffed by five certified School Library Media Specialists and six library clerks.

For many families, the school library has been their only access to free reading materials, internet access, and homework help. MVCSD families that do not have students enrolled in school do not currently have access to their own community library.
